MEXICO CITY — The NBA and Zignia Live announced today that the Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons will face off in a regular-season game at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
This event marks the NBA’s 34th game played in Mexico since 1992, the most games hosted in any country outside the United States and Canada. The game will also coincide with the local “Día de Muertos” (Day of the Dead) celebrations for the second year in a row. To honor the tradition, the arena will feature a themed basketball court and various fan activities inspired by the holiday.
The Mavericks, playing their eighth game in Mexico, bring a star-studded lineup including 10-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis, nine-time All-Star Kyrie Irving, and four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson. They also hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, sponsored by State Farm.
The Pistons will make their third visit to Mexico City. Last season, they completed one of the biggest year-over-year turnarounds in NBA history and returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Led by 2025 NBA All-Star Cade Cunningham and a promising young core featuring Jalen Duren, Jaden Ivey, Ausar Thompson, and Isaiah Stewart, the Pistons are poised to make an impact.
The NBA Mexico City Game 2025 will be broadcast live across Mexico, Latin America, and more than 200 countries worldwide through television, digital, and social media platforms. Beyond the game, the NBA and its partners will host community outreach programs under NBA Cares, youth and coach development events through Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA, and interactive fan experiences to bring the full NBA atmosphere to Mexico City.
The event will be supported by key marketing partners, including Emirates, Jordan Brand, Michelob Ultra, PlayStation, and Tissot.
