Ticket sales have begun for the rescheduled Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 fixture between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), set to take place on Tuesday, May 20 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The sales went live on Thursday, May 15, and demand has surged, as seen on the official ticketing platform.
Although both CSK and RR are no longer in the playoff race, interest in the match remains high. One of the key reasons is the possibility that MS Dhoni may play in the capital for the only time this season. Initially, CSK had no scheduled games in New Delhi during the 2025 season. Their only previous encounter with Delhi Capitals took place in Chennai on April 5. However, the updated IPL schedule now includes this matchup at the Delhi venue.
Despite the match being a dead rubber, ticket prices are notably high. The cheapest seats start at Rs 1,700, while premium spots, such as those in the Old Clubhouse First Floor, are priced at Rs 10,000. Tickets in the Hill section are listed at Rs 9,000.
Interestingly, these prices exceed those of tickets for Delhi Capitals’ home games at the same stadium. Fans can purchase tickets through the official Chennai Super Kings website.
The Arun Jaitley Stadium will host three remaining matches this IPL season:
- Delhi Capitals vs. Gujarat Titans on Sunday, May 18
- CSK vs. RR on Tuesday, May 20
- Kolkata Knight Riders vs. SunRisers Hyderabad on Sunday, May 25
