Tickets are currently on sale for the Staff Council-sponsored Pitt Day at Kennywood, set for June 28.
The $29.99 ticket includes an all-day ride pass with no processing fees. However, this year’s ticket does not include a complimentary meal.
Staff Council shared a statement saying, “We appreciate your understanding as we adapt to current budget considerations, and we hope to be able to offer it again next year.”
Despite the meal exclusion, ticket holders can still enjoy a variety of activities at the pavilion. These include raffle baskets, bingo, face painting, balloon artists, lawn games, and photo opportunities.
Attendees arriving between 9:30 and 11 a.m. will receive free preferred parking and early entry at 10 a.m., with limited rides available during this time.
Pitt-branded t-shirts are also on sale for $15 through June 10 as part of a presale at the University Bookstore.
To purchase the $29.99 tickets online, follow these steps:
- Visit kennywood/groupevents
- Enter the quantity of ‘Fun Day Tickets’ you want
- Enter promo code pittpicnic25 (all lowercase) in the ‘Promotional Code’ box and click ‘Apply’
- Click ‘Continue’ to reach the ticket calendar, select June 28 to apply the discount, then click ‘Continue’
- Select June 28 again and click ‘Continue’
- Follow the remaining prompts to complete your purchase
Tickets are valid only for June 28 and can be purchased exclusively online.
