DECORAH, Iowa — Luther College has announced a series of special activities on Sunday, April 27, to complement the sold-out “Travel with a Norwegian Sensibility” lecture by Rick Steves. While the event is fully booked, these additional activities are open to the public and do not require a ticket to attend.
“We’re excited to provide these opportunities to enrich the experience for both attendees and those visiting Decorah, even if they don’t have tickets for Rick Steves’ lecture,” said Susan Potvin, director of programming and outreach at Luther College.
The lecture, titled Travel with a Norwegian Sensibility, quickly sold out within two weeks of tickets going on sale. The Center for Faith and Life (CFL) is at full capacity, and additional seating cannot be added for the event. The Luther College Ticket Office has created a waiting list for those still interested in attending.
“If you are unable to attend but have tickets, please reach out to the Ticket Office,” said Bradley Phillips, assistant director of campus programming. “We’ll do our best to connect you with someone from the waiting list.” Those needing assistance can call 563-387-1357 or email [email protected].
With a packed crowd expected at the CFL, Luther College has implemented its “Christmas at Luther” parking plan for this event. Attendees who are able to walk are encouraged to park in the Preus Library lot (address: 585 Library Street, Decorah, IA 52101) and the Jenson-Noble lot.
