CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Museum of Art’s highly anticipated Summer Solstice celebration returns this year, with tickets set to go on sale at the end of April. Museum members can purchase tickets starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 28. Nonmembers may buy theirs beginning at noon on Tuesday, April 29. Each ticket costs $150. Organizers recommend purchasing early, as the event typically sells out quickly.
The Summer Solstice event, which was paused last year due to construction, is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, from 7 p.m. to midnight. The celebration blends music, art, dance, and visual projections in a vibrant evening under the stars.
Throughout the night, international music groups will perform on the museum’s south terrace, while well-known DJs keep the energy high in the Ames Family Atrium. The event is open to guests aged 21 and older.
Admission includes unlimited appetizers and drinks, with options such as beer, wine, and canned cocktails.
This year’s performances focus on brass-heavy, high-energy music. Guests will enjoy sounds from around the world, including New Orleans, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Spain.
The evening begins with a second line parade led by Cleveland’s Da Land Brass Band. The lineup also features Spain’s Balkan Paradise Orchestra, Puerto Rico’s El Laberinto del Coco, and the Mexican Institute of Sound.
Visual artist Kevin Jackson will transform the museum’s facade with original projection art and lighting effects. His vivid visuals, paired with lighting installations and decorations, will bring the museum’s architecture to life.
Inside the Ames Family Atrium, guests can join a special edition of “It’s a Vibe: Solstice Atrium Takeover.” Usually held on the first Saturday of each month at the Foundation Room in House of Blues Cleveland, the dance party will make a one-night-only move to the museum. DJs Sound on Tape, Corey Grand, and Knyce will provide the soundtrack for a night of dancing and celebration.
