NEW YORK (AP) — Ticket demand for Saturday’s Game 3 of the NBA playoff series between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks has driven the average resale price close to $2,000, according to data from Victory Live, a ticketing technology company. As of Thursday, the average paid ticket price for Game 3 was $1,956, while Game 4 tickets averaged $1,716. Both games will take place at Madison Square Garden.

For fans looking for a more affordable option, the cheapest ticket for Game 3 was priced at $626 on StubHub, and for Game 4, the lowest price was $613 on Vivid Seats.

The Knicks have captured the spotlight this postseason after stunning comebacks, overcoming 20-point deficits to beat the defending champion Celtics in the first two games of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinals. If the Knicks win two more games, they will reach the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.

Ticket prices for home games at Madison Square Garden have been climbing steadily in the days leading up to Games 3 and 4. Just last Friday, the average resale price was $767 for Game 3 and $545 for Game 4.
