Game 3 of the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics Eastern Conference semifinals has become the hottest ticket in New York City. Premium seat prices have nearly doubled those of comparable seats at Super Bowl 59.
On Wednesday night, the Knicks stunned many NBA analysts by rallying for a second consecutive win on the Celtics’ home court. With a commanding 2-0 lead in the series, demand for Madison Square Garden tickets has soared even higher. Tickets were already costly, but prices on third-party apps have now surged dramatically.
According to Gametime, the cheapest last-minute ticket available is $648, including taxes and fees—double the pre-series price for similar seats. But these are just the lowest-priced options. The price for courtside seats at “The World’s Most Famous Arena” is far more staggering.
Gametime reports courtside tickets for Game 3 are selling for an eye-popping $42,294 each. While New York’s market can support high prices, this figure remains extraordinary even by city standards.
To put it into perspective, the highest-priced ticket for Super Bowl 59, featuring the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, was $17,787—less than half the cost of these courtside Knicks seats.
The next game in this thrilling playoff series is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ABC.
