ALBANY, N.Y. – The kickoff to Albany’s popular Alive at 5 Summer Concert Series will take place at a different location than originally planned.
Organizers have announced that the June 5th concert, headlined by legendary rock band Queensrÿche with support from Gozer, will now be held at the Corning Preserve Boat Launch, located beneath the I-787 overpass. The show was originally scheduled for Tricentennial Park, which will now host the remainder of the 2025 series beginning June 12.
This season’s Alive at 5 features six free Thursday night concerts, offering live music from various genres. Attendees can also enjoy food, drinks, and merchandise from local vendors in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Starting June 12, concerts will return to Tricentennial Park, bringing the event closer to downtown Albany’s restaurants, shops, and bars—making it easier for concertgoers to explore the area before and after the shows.
