SHANGHAI – The Jing’an Theater Festival is ready to take center stage in Shanghai from April 25 to June 2, offering a vibrant mix of global and domestic productions. This year’s edition promises an expanded cultural experience, with a strong international presence and several debut performances.
The 2024 festival will showcase 84 performances across 20 productions, featuring theater companies and artists from China, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Canada, Russia, and other countries. Notably, about 90 percent of the international productions will be presented in China for the first time, highlighting the festival’s commitment to fresh and groundbreaking work.
Performances Across Seven Iconic Venues
Shows will be held at seven venues citywide, including Daning Theatre, Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center, and the FANCL Arts Center, offering audiences convenient access to a diverse theatrical lineup.
