The decision to move the event to the Ulinzi Sports Complex comes as a result of ongoing renovations at traditional venues. With a seating capacity of 10,000, the new location is expected to accommodate a large turnout of athletics fans, many eager to witness top-tier competition in a safe and organized setting.
This year’s Kip Keino Classic will feature an impressive lineup of talent, including Kenyan sprint sensation Ferdinand Omanyala and world-class 800m runner Mary Moraa. The event is part of the prestigious World Athletics Gold Label series, positioning it among the leading athletics meets on the continent.
In a departure from past years, the 2025 edition will not offer free entry. Event organizers say the new ticketing system is designed to better manage crowds, improve safety, and enhance the overall experience for fans.
