New England music fans have a reason to celebrate this summer as the Capitol Groove Music Festival returns to downtown Hartford, Connecticut. The festival, which debuted last year as the city’s premier music event, is set for June 28-29, 2025, featuring an exciting lineup and a lively atmosphere.
Headlining the two-day event are Khruangbin, Thundercat, Bleachers, and Cake. Alongside these big names, each day will showcase seven different artists and bands, offering a diverse mix of musical styles. Festival-goers can also enjoy craft beverages, food trucks, and other attractions throughout the weekend.
The name “Groove” perfectly fits the festival’s vibe. The lineup spans a variety of genres including indie pop, alternative rock, blues, soul, folk, funk, jam, indie, and reggae. There are two ticket options: General Admission (GA) and VIP. GA tickets grant access to the festival grounds, while VIP tickets include additional amenities and exclusive access. Both ticket types can be purchased as single-day or two-day passes.
As of mid-May, prices for GA single-day tickets range from $130 to $230. VIP single-day tickets cost around $400 for Saturday and can go up to $740 for Sunday.
