LEETON, NSW — Excitement is mounting as tickets officially go on sale for the 2025 Australian Art Deco Festival, set to return to the heart of Leeton from July 11 to 13. The festival, which celebrates the vibrant culture of the interwar period, will make its first full return to the town centre since 2019 following the completion of construction work at the iconic Roxy Theatre and Chelmsford Place.
Fran Macdonald, events officer for Leeton Shire Council, said the return to the Roxy Theatre—often regarded as the festival’s crown jewel—marks a major milestone for the beloved event.
“The Roxy is the great dame of the festival,” Macdonald said. “Having it back as a central part of the program is a cause for celebration and brings us closer to the energy of the 2019 festival.”
Already, strong early interest has been recorded, with around 70 tickets sold for the signature Gatsby Gala Dinner.
“Tickets only recently went live, but we’ve seen early sales from loyal visitors coming from all over,” Macdonald said. “This year’s gala will be held in a larger venue, offering both premier and standard ticket options. Guests can choose to enjoy dinner and the show, or simply attend the performance.”
The three-day celebration will blend returning favorites with fresh experiences. The festival program will include 14 events over the weekend, from prohibition-themed parties and speakeasies to live music, dancing, and Depression-era dinners.
