SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Fans of “Star Wars” and symphonic music will have something special to look forward to in 2026, as tickets for the Syracuse Orchestra’s live concert performance of Star Wars: A New Hope will go on sale starting July 4, 2025.
The highly anticipated concert will take place on April 25, 2026, at 709 James Street in Syracuse, with two showtimes scheduled at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
This unique cinematic event will feature a full screening of the iconic 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope, accompanied by a live performance of the Oscar®-winning score composed by John Williams. The music will be brought to life by the Syracuse Orchestra, under the direction of Principal Pops Conductor Sean O’Loughlin.
Pam Murchison, executive director of the Syracuse Orchestra, expressed enthusiasm about the concert, describing it as “the perfect experience.” She added, “Watch a great film, Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, with one of the most iconic film scores of all time, performed live by our own Syracuse Orchestra, with popcorn or other movie snacks and a beverage of your choice!
