FC Barcelona will return to Asia this summer for the first time since 2019, with the club set to play pre-season matches in Japan and South Korea. The La Liga and Copa del Rey champions announced the tour details on Monday.
Despite earlier speculation, Hong Kong will not be part of the tour itinerary.
Barcelona will begin their tour on July 27 with a friendly match against Japanese side Vissel Kobe. The game will take place at Noevir Kobe Stadium, which seats 30,000 fans. From there, the squad will head to South Korea for two more fixtures.
On July 31, the team will face FC Seoul at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, which holds nearly 67,000 spectators. The tour will conclude with a match against Daegu FC on August 4 at Daegu Stadium, a venue with a capacity of 68,000.
Tickets for the Japan match will be available through Rakuten Ticket. Details for the South Korean fixtures, including ticket information, will be released at a later date.
The upcoming visit marks Barcelona’s return to the region after a six-year hiatus. Their last tour in 2019 saw them face Chelsea and Vissel Kobe under then-coach Ernesto Valverde.
New head coach Hansi Flick will lead the team during the tour, which offers fans in Asia a rare opportunity to see the Spanish giants in action.
