Tickets are now on sale for the grand opening of Vue’s new cinema at The Cornerhouse in Nottingham. Vue takes over the space after Cineworld closed its doors earlier this year.
The new cinema will officially open on Friday, June 27. The first films to be shown include the new Formula One movie starring Brad Pitt and the Pixar animated film Elio. Both will have morning screenings starting at 10:30 a.m., with tickets priced from just £6.99.
Other titles playing on opening day include Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later, featuring Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes.
Narinder Shergill, General Manager of Vue UK and Ireland, said, “We have worked hard to transform The Cornerhouse with top-quality seats, screens, and sound. Our goal is to bring Nottingham the ultimate big-screen experience.”
He added, “We’re proud to keep giving visitors to The Cornerhouse a place to enjoy the latest blockbusters, special event cinema, and classic favorites. We look forward to welcoming everyone on June 27.”
The Cornerhouse cinema now features 14 screens with seating for over 1,200 people. The largest screen can hold up to 250 guests.
Nottingham moviegoers can also choose from other local cinemas, including Showcase, Broadway, The Savoy, and The Arc Cinema in Beeston.
