The Franz Mayer Museum, a venue with over 400 years of history, will host a special violin concert featuring works by Bach, Telemann, and Biber. Here’s everything you need to know about this unique event.
The concert will take place on Sunday, June 29th, starting at 2:00 p.m. It will be held inside the museum’s stunning building, which dates back to the late 16th century.
The performance will be given by Viktoria Horti, a violin expert who teaches at the National School of Music of UNAM and is a member of the Fine Arts Quartet. Viktoria specializes in performing and conducting original versions of music from the 17th and 18th centuries.
This promises to be a high-quality concert that music lovers should not miss. Alongside pieces by the famous German composer Johann Sebastian Bach, the program will include works by Georg Philipp Telemann and Heinrich Ignaz Biber.
Admission to the concert is free with a ticket to the museum. General admission to the Franz Mayer Museum costs just 100 pesos.
If you can’t make it to this concert, don’t worry. The museum will offer several other classical music performances throughout June that are worth attending.
